Myth-o-bots
From ancient gods and mythical beasts to Pokémon and futuristic hybrids, mythical creatures have sparked imagination across time and cultures. In this workshop, children were inspired by legends and stories to invent their own unique characters.
They designed and built their Myth-o-Bots using cups, card tubes, and colourful materials—adding wings, tails, spikes, and fur. With a motor attached and marker pens for feet, their creatures danced across the paper, drawing bold trails as they moved.
In the second part of the project, each child created an artwork showing their creature in its natural habitat, imagining the world it lives in and the story it tells. The activity combined storytelling, visual art, and engineering in a playful and imaginative way.
